Soul sisters Sonia & Jaquie 'WE'VE BEEN THROUGH A LOT'

The TV hosts share their journey through anxiety and personal loss

It's a rare and special thing to find a friend for all seasons. Someone to help navigate love, loss, children and the unpredictable winds of life. For Sonia Gray, one of those people is her longtime pal Jaquie Brown.

Even during their Weekly photoshoot, Sonia lights up the moment Jaquie walks through the door. Though life often pulls them in different directions, they both know that no matter how much time has passed, they're always a safe landing place for one another.

"We don't see each other all the time-life is busy," explains Sonia. "But we can always talk about the deep stuff. Jaquie is a wonderful listener; her heart is the size of a house."

Jaquie adds, "We're both trying to understand who we are in the world. Maybe it's midlife, maybe it's being a woman, but we've both been through a lot. It's stripped things away and we're both becoming the true more honest versions of ourselves."

The pair first met in the early 2000s while working at TV Three. There was an instant ease, and a recognition of generosity and warmth in each other.
