A heartbroken Nicole calls it quits

DIVORCE SHOCK

Nicole Kidman is being comforted by her family in the wake of her shock split from husband Keith Urban.

The day after their separation was revealed last week, Babygirl star Nicole, 58, filed for divorce from country crooner Keith, 57, despite having what most believed was one of the most solid marriages in show business.

A source says Nicole's journalist sister Antonia, 55, has "been a rock" for Nicole and that the split wasn't the actor's choice.

"She didn't want this," says the insider. "She has been fighting to save the marriage."

Keith has reportedly moved on with a younger woman.

Though the news is shocking, the dissolution of their marriage has clearly been in the works for some time as they have already worked out a parenting schedule.

Nicole will be the primary residential parent of their daughters Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14, and will have them 306 days of the year, while Keith will have them the other 59.

The agreement also states they will not speak badly of each other, and will "encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families".

The couple has been kept apart in recent months by their busy work schedules. Nicole has been filming Practical Magic 2 in London, while Keith is on a tour of the US and Canada. Despite their long periods apart, Nicole was "blindsided" by the split.
