Woman's calls for police force to investigate her partner's death 'ignored'

Stephen Habberley, who was 64, died three days after the incident outside his property in Abercynon which involved a heated exchange with builders which was about land access.

Mr Habberley died following a cardiac arrest which his partner Kerry Bishop claimed happened after he rushed to his campervan which he had intended to use to block the builders transporting further vehicles onto land he rented from his landlord Anthony Goodall.

Before he could put the keys into the ignition during the chaotic incident, frantic Mr Habberley reportedly lost consciousness and died three days later in hospital.

It is claimed Mr Habberley had multiple similar disputes with the neighbours the Keys Group, a national children and family support organisation which has land nearby.

The Keys Group said they required access via the land Mr Habberley rented for maintenance work. Mr Habberley's landlord Mr Goodall owned the section of the land at the front of the property and partially owned a lane at the front of the property too which the Keys Group said they needed access to.

The Keys Group said it had a legal right of way to access its property via the lane and could repair the lane for safe transport of vehicles to its premises where necessary.
