Stay clear warning following landslides

December 19, 2025

MEMBERS of the public are being urged to avoid a Welsh beach following multiple landslides.

Atleast one property has been destroyed by the landslides in Gwynedd and others may also be damaged. It is currently considered too dangerous to check inside.

‘The mud slides occurred beneath Lon Penrallt close to the breakwater at Nefyn on the Lijn Peninsula. The first incident was recorded on Monday, December 15, with a second occurring on Wednesday at midday.

A third landslide - the most severe - took place sometime afterwards, potentially during the night. It is believed the affected properties were unoccupied as they are not used year round.
