Warning to Exiles issued by Blake

FORMER Newport County striker Nathan Blake has warned new manager Christian Fuchs and chairman Huw Jenkins that they must strengthen the squad in January or face almost certain relegation.

County are bottom of League Two at Christmas and five points from safety before their Boxing Day clash with Barnet at Rodney Parade.

Speaking after Saturday's 4-1 stuffing at Colchester United, Fuchs said: “I still believe that the players that started have all the potential to turn things around ~ I fully trust them.”

And, when he took over last month, the Premier League winner said: “Why do you think it's the worst team? | don’t agree with that. One things is stats, but there's more to a game that involves people and emotions.
