MATOS WANTS A REPEAT PERFORMANCE
Western Mail

ITOR Matos has joked he hopes Josh Tymon “can do it again” after the fullback’s stunning strike against Oxford United helped hand him his first win as Swansea City boss.

Tymon struck to double his side’s advantage in a 2-0 success at the Swansea.com Stadium, after Marko Stamenic’s first Swans goal handed the hosts the lead.
It’s a victory that will go some way to easing any relegation fears, with only goal difference separating City from the dropzone before their meeting with the U's.
‘Tymon’s strike lit up what was a largely positive performance, and Matos was unsurprisingly just as delighted as everyone else.
“It was brilliant,” he said, before joking “I just hope he can do it again!”
“A brilliant goal. I think the goal is massive, but the performance was as well.
“He defended really well, stopped crosses, which is something massive, especially in the Championship.
“He balanced the team, supported the attack and found ways through to go through to the last third as well.
“So I think he had a really good game and I’m really pleased. ‘The goal was a really good goal, but the pinnacle of the performance if you want to say.”
