A setback for French as Depoortere is ruled out

FRANCE have been hit by a major injury setback ahead of Sunday's Six Nations clash with Wales after centre Nicolas Depoortere was ruled out of the trip to Cardiff, with another French midfielder also facing a race to be fit.

Nicolas Depoortere starred against Ireland but will be missing for France's trip to Cardiff
The 23-year-old was one of the standout performers in Les Bleus' emphatic 36-14 victory over Ireland in their championship opener, producing a dazzling attacking display in Paris.
Such was his impact, he beat more defenders than any other player on the pitch.
However, the French Rugby Federation confirmed yesterday that Depoortere will miss the encounter at the Principality Stadium through injury.
Depoortere sat out training earlier this week after experiencing muscle soreness during a weights session.
