SOMERSET is gearing up for a scorcher of a weekend, with predictions showing it’s set to outshine the likes of Ibiza, Barcelona, Rome, and Tenerife with soaring temperatures.

The county will see thermometers reach a sweltering 32C around 4pm on Saturday, July 12, eclipsing several European hotspots. According to Devon-based Met Office forecasters, Somerset could experience lows in the early 30s later in the week, a significant notch above the annual average by about 10C.

Saturday (July 12) is looking particularly balmy with temperatures climbing to 24C by 10am and peaking at 32C around 4pm, with the heat lingering at 30C until 7pm.
