Man bombarded ex with over 200 phone calls

34-year-old struggled to accept break-up

A POSSESSIVE boyfriend has landed himself in court after failing to accept the breakdown of his relationship. Mitchell Harrison, 34, pleaded guilty to harassment.

North Staffordshire Justice Centre heard Harrison had been enjoying a healthy relationship with his girlfriend until he lost his job - causing him to spiral into substance abuse and paranoia. The victim subsequently ended the romance after Harrison became 'controlling'.

But Harrison refused to accept the loss of the relationship - instead opting to swamp the victim with over 200 phone calls alongside a slew of messages.
