Ethan George Byers says Port Vale can take confidence from their recent cup results.

PORT Vale go into a big League One clash at Luton Town tomorrow with George Byers insisting, "morale is good.

The 29-year-old midfielder says the Valiants squad are close-knit and have enough in their armoury to get out of the situation they are in - six points from safety at the foot of the division.

Speaking in the club's pre-match press conference he told reporters: "The mood is good, morale is high at the moment.

"We've had two good results in the cups so everyone is full of confidence, as we should be after two wins, two good wins.

"And now we just look forward to the weekend and hopefully take that form into the league."
