|October 15, 2025
LEEK Town were beaten 6-0 at home by AFC Crewe in their Staffs County Senior League Premier Division clash.
(Jim Booth)
Bradley Davies was quick off the mark when he opened the scoring in the first minute with former Alsager Town striker Jordan Erdmann adding a second on 18 minutes.
A third arrived on 25 minutes for Crewe when Mason Warhurst fired home and that man Erdmann grabbed his second and his side’s fourth on 40 minutes.
In a quieter second half, Harry Baggaley hit the visitors’ fifth on the hour with the sixth and final goal arriving courtesy of Courtney Franklin.
Leaders Brereton Social saw off Rocester 6-2 to move five points clear at the summit.
Talented wideman Kieron Cliff amassed a four-goal haul in the encounter, while striker Max Marshall and Craig Swinfield also found the net for the hosts.
An own goal and a Jordon Dodd goal on 87 minutes served only as a consolation for the travelling Romans.
Ashbourne are in third after beating Newcastle Town 2-1.
Tim Grice netted for Castle, but Freddie Murphy and Ben Miller were on target for Adrian Webb's hosts.
Fourth-placed Silverdale Athletic won 3-2 at home against Redgate Clayton.
