Crying boyfriend strangled his pregnant partner when he went to pick up his bags

A MAN convicted of strangling his pregnant partner has been jailed.

Wesley Jones knew his partner was two months pregnant when he grabbed her throat leaving her dazed and struggling to breathe.

The 32-year-old also threw her to the floor and damaged her television and coffee table.

Now Jones, who was found guilty following a trial, has been jailed for 26 months at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court and handed a five-year restraining order to stay away from his victim.

The court heard the victim called the police at 9.30am on June 28, 2023 when Jones, below, refused to leave her home.
