Gareth celebrates emotional win in Strictly-style dance fundraiser

ONE of North Staffordshire’s best-loved charities has received a huge financial boost from a fundraising dance show.

The first ever Strictly Knot Dancing took place in front of 650 guests at the King's Hall in Stoke and raised an amazing £130,000 for the Dougie Mac.

And it was an extremely poignant evening for Gareth Higgins, of KMF, who won the Glitterball with his professional dance partner Beth Keeble.

Gareth’s sister had sadly passed away earlier in the week at Dougie Mac, making his victory particularly emotional and a powerful tribute to the hospice’s care and compassion.
