IF ONE thing of potentially true weight emerged from last week's triumphant tour of Britain by US President Donald Trump, it was in the media conference towards the end of the two-day gala event.

Trump said more than once how totally fed up he is with Russia's Vladimir Putin for refusing to play along with moves to end the war in Ukraine.
Wow! This could turn out sensational. I'm sure Trump has never said anything of the kind before, not in public anyway. To borrow a metaphor from another language: Sal die poppe nou dans? (Meaning: is trouble on the horizon?) Will Putin respond? Or will it blow over? If any of the undercurrents are anywhere near true, we could be moving into interesting times.
