New support hub opens for victims of crime

NORTHUMBRIA Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Susan Dungworth has launched a new hub to support victims of crime.

The PCC has set up a new directory of the support now available to those who may been facing the at times "devastating" impact of crime.

The idea is to help witnesses and victims of crime to access help they might need before, during, or after they report crime.

PCC Dungworth said: "Being a victim of crime can have a devastating impact on people's lives.

"I want to raise awareness of the wide range of support that is there to help and make it as accessible as possible for people this directory is here to help with that.
