THE Government is urging employers and workers to comment on how reforms on issues such as bereavement leave and enhanced dismissal protections for pregnant women and new mothers should work in practice.

Ministers said thousands of pregnant women and new mothers faced "significant" risks to their job security, with research finding that up to 54,000 mothers a year may be dismissed, made redundant or treated so poorly at work they feel they have to leave.
