Skipper says Terriers must win at all costs

HUDDERSFIELD Town skipper Ryan Ledson has acknowledged that his side’s recent five-match losing run in all competitions was “nowhere near good enough”.

The Terriers suffered consecutive League One defeats to Stockport County, Bolton Wanderers and Wycombe Wanderers last month, while they were also beaten in the EFL Trophy by Harrogate Town and exited the FA Cup with another loss to Bolton.

Town managed to arrest the slide with back-to-back victories prior to the international break, with Lee Grant's side registering 3-1 wins against Mansfield Town and Plymouth Argyle, in the EFL Trophy and League One respectively.

However, reflecting on his side’s recent losing run at a press conference prior to facing Argyle, Ledson said: “When you lose five games in all competitions, it’s nowhere near good enough and it’s been known for us all that it's not good enough, not for a club of this size anyway.

“We take it home with us, we live it, we breathe it. It's not good enough, but we're big enough and ugly enough to take it on the chin.
