Last-gasp loss was real kick in the teeth

CAPTAIN Ryan Ledson says Huddersfield Town's dramatic last gasp defeat to Bolton was all going to plan beforehand but described the killer blow as like a 'kick in the teeth' as he leapt to the defence of 'brilliant' manager Lee Grant.

Ledson and his Terriers teammates watched on as an Amario Cozier-Duberry goal added to a Sam Dalby header to clinch all three points for the Wanderers in a stunning turnaround no one saw coming.

It was all going swimmingly right up until that point thanks to the lead Chelsea loanee Leo Castledine had given them with an early header from a corner.

Ledson appeared on Sky Sports' live EFL coverage over the weekend in the aftermath of the defeat and was asked about the loss.

He told presenter David Prutton: "It was all going to plan and obviously then a kick in the teeth conceding two late goals so a really tough one to take.
