NAGLE’S HONEST ASSESSMENT OF TOWN’S MIXED START

HUDDERSFIELD Town owner Kevin Nagle has reflected on a “tough time” for the club on the pitch at present but insists he remains optimistic for the rest of the campaign.

Saturday's FA Cup exit away to Bolton Wanderers was Town’s fifth straight defeat in all competitions, with the Terriers currently experiencing a significant drop off in form following a strong start to the campaign.

Town began the season with eight wins from their opening ten matches, including two penalty shootout victories in the Carabao Cup, but have now won just one of the nine games that have followed.

Discussing the campaign so far, Nagle told HTTV prior to Saturday's cup tie: “This is really actually a tough time.

“The beginning of the season, we had really high hopes, and we really did well the first seven or eight games, and it’s been obviously a little bumpy since then, but with 20 per cent of the games gone, I've still got a lot of optimism.
