Onlookers stunned by Stevenson darts

SIMON Stevenson (30.67) once again stunned onlookers with his Plymouth City Super League Division A performance in which he laid down legs in 14, 17, and 18 darts in a 3-0 win.

That triumph, alongside seventeen personal tons, came in a 6-5 loss for Legends Lounge B at King Billy A that was won on the final singles rubber by Kev Lofthouse with a 3-1 triumph.

The main highlight of the narrowest of successes came in the form of a maximum from Lofthouse's teammate, Paddy Archibald.

Harry Bull bagged as many as fifteen ton plusses but still found himself on the wrong end of a 10-1 loss as Ford Inn downed Bull's Indian Inn A.

Mike Whatley was the main aggressor for the victors with twelve tons, whilst teammate Ant Pearn reached ten ton plusses of his own.

Whatley topped his tally up to that mark with a 104 checkout, and Pearn would've been stranded on nine if it wasn’t for a 100 kill.

Pearn was also in amongst the 180s hit as Scott Cook and Paul Gavican matched his solitary effort with maximums of their own.

Lee Hellings topped out his ton tally to the fifteen mark to lead champions Octagon to a 10-1 win at Tradesmans.

John Mann was also heavily amongst the tons with a fourteen haul, whilst Alfie Ford nailed twelve, and ten more were provided by Neil White.

Simon Washington's ten ton plusses for the defeated side came with the help of his team's only 180, which was added to once each by White and Hellings.

At the business end, two of the three lady players who appeared in the contest both took the headlines as Theresa Sampson's 75 combo was only bettered by a 111 from Jodie Hawton.

Hellings was a winner by a 3-1 scoreline in the singles phase with legs in 13, 16, and 17, carrying him to that triumph.

Ford was a 3-2 victor over Washington, who added a 16 darter in defeat, whilst White also added a leg in 16 during his 3-1 success.
