New album for singer at home in Plymouth

WORLD class Americana powerhouse Laura Evans returns to the fray today with the release of her brilliant sophomore offering Out of the Dark.
Soulful and full of heart, the album is an outpouring of honest emotion wrapped up in fabulous polished songs - some of which have already garnered national airtime - that will doubtless delight her legions of fans and win plenty more. Praise from the likes of Radio 2s Cerys Matthews and airing of all three new singles on the station will have helped massively.
"You work so hard on the album, and then you're almost scared to put it out," said Laura. "I poured my heart and soul into it and worked with some amazing co-writers who really pushed me both with my writing and vocals and I feel these are some of my best songs to date.
"I love all the tracks, but possibly my favourites are Superman, which I thought was going to be cheesy but came out really well, and Nobody Loves Me Like You, which I really enjoy singing."
These, like some of the others on the album, unashamedly reference her current relationship while, by contrast, songs on her first album were all about heartbreak.
