Get ready for the Summer Sessions
The Herald

PLYMOUTH Hoe has to be one of the most spectacular waterfront settings anywhere in the world and the combination of that stunning backdrop with music from some of the top international bands and artists around is quite simply a match made in heaven.
Following the huge success of last year's inaugural Plymouth Summer Sessions event which drew thousands of fans from across the region and beyond, the Summer Sessions return across four nights next week with another great line up, featuring headliners James, Razorlight, Pendulum, The Corrs and Snow Patrol.
Thursday June 12 sees legendary UK band James take to the stage with the mighty Razorlight in support along with the 'people's poet' Jamie Webster and 'rising star' Tom A Smith.
James will be an excellent band to kick-start the sessions, with plenty of anthems and fan faves like Sit Down, Come Home and Laid to get everyone involved. They also come brandishing songs from their latest album Yummy, one of their best to date, which tackles all manner of troubling contemporary issues, including AI, US politics and conspiracy theories as well as tracks about finding love in a mad world.
Fronted by the charismatic Jonny Borrell, indie rockers Razorlight will get the crowd in the mood with a great selection of songs, including top singles Golden Touch, Somewhere Else, In the Morning and chart topper America in their arsenal.
