Dozens of arrests made as 32 properties raided

DOZENS of people have been arrested during a major crackdown on organised criminal gangs and drug supply networks in the South West. A number of weapons, including a zombie knife a gun and an electrocution device, were seized as well as hundreds of cannabis plants and a large quantity of cash.

Across the South West, police carried out 32 property searches where 36 people were arrested. Police found 2,240 cannabis plants which were destroyed and £57,335 cash was recovered. Police also seized 246g of cocaine, 500g and 32 wraps of ketamine, and over 20 Nitrous Oxide (NOS) cannisters.

A large number of weapons were also found during the raids. Police found and seized six knives, one axe, one electrocution device one firearm and one imitation firearm, namely a BB gun.
