Two new padel courts replace football pitch

'INCREDIBLE' FACILITY OPENS TO THE PUBLIC

TWO new padel courts replacing a “little used” five-a-side football pitch have opened in Ingleby Barwick.

The new facility for the fast-growing sport is at the Bannatyne health club on Myton Road, but nonmembers will also be able to use them. The courts have synthetic playing surfaces and a strengthened glass wall around the outside, covered by a “robust and versatile” translucent fabric canopy.

The courts were formally opened by Matt Vickers MP and Cllr Sally-Ann Watson.
