With this, LTO-7 is considering filing administrative and criminal charges against the subject in question after he was apprehended for traffic violations on Friday afternoon, March 20.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on March 20, 2026, along N. Bacalso Avenue, when personnel of the Cebu City Transportation Office flagged down a private vehicle for illegally entering the designated Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lane.

The man then claimed he was a deputized LTO agent, asserted authority over the apprehension, and began taking photos of the traffic enforcers while allegedly threatening to report them to the agency.

The agency then revealed that the said passenger was seen wearing an ID sling bearing the label of GONZCAF Security and Investigation Agency, Inc.

However, verification by LTO-7 Regional Director Wendel Dinglasan confirmed that the individual had no deputation, authority, or official affiliation with the office.
