Freemasons mark 300 years in county

CHESHIRE Freemasons, joined by their families, friends and distinguished guests, proudly celebrated their Tercentenary, marking 300 incredible years of Freemasonry in Cheshire.

The monumental occasion was a testament to the organisation’s enduring commitment to community, fellowship and charitable giving.

The day started with a special service of celebration at the historic Chester Cathedral.

Freemasons and their families were honoured to be joined by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire and the Pro Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England, Jonathan Spence, who acts for the Grand Master, the Duke of Kent, when he has royal duties

During the service, David Dyson, head of Cheshire Freemasons, presented the Dean of Chester Cathedral with a cheque for £30,000, one of the ten significant donations made throughout the day.
