WORK on new active travel routes to better connect Ellesmere Port railway station with the town centre will start in January.
A new roundabout will be installed at the junction of Cromwell Road and Wellington Road North in Ellesmere Port
A cycle route will be introduced on Cromwell Road, along with speed humps and signs for a new 20mph speed limit.
A new roundabout will also be installed at the junction of Cromwell Road and Wellington Road North to provide a safer environment for cyclists using the road to get to the market, which is currently undergoing a major revamp.
The walking and wheeling route along Whitby Road will be made accessible with a new signalised pedestrian crossing at the Whitby Road/Cromwell Road junction, as well as improved side road crossings along Whitby Road.
