CHESTER is gearing up for a magical festive season as Chester BID unveils its Christmas in the City campaign - including the ever-popular free parking at Chester Racecourse.

The Christmas Market will make a welcome return to the city centre in 2025

From November 22 until Christmas, shoppers will be able to park at Chester Racecourse for free every weekend from 10am, making it more affordable to visit the city centre and soak up the festivities.
This year's lineup promises extra sparkle with additional Christmas lights set to brighten up St John Street, St Werburgh Street and Pepper Street, as well as a stunning Christmas tree positioned behind Chester's much-loved Paddington Bench, creating the perfect photo opportunity at the end of Foregate Street.
