Jailed killer's motive still baffles police

AN evil killer who entered a chemist covered in blood after brutally murdering a woman in her own home has been jailed.

Arturs Putrasevics was arrested after entering a Coventry pharmacy on December 10 last year, holding a knife and claiming he'd killed someone.

Earlier on in the day, the 39-year-old had stabbed Astra Sirapina to death in her home in the city.

Detectives rushed to her Burnaby Road address and found the 62-year-old with multiple stab wounds.
