400th game goes to plan for Robbo

STEPHEN ROBINSON hailed his St Mirren stars for digging out a first league win of the season to mark his 400th game in the dugout.

Second-half goals from Declan John and Mikael Mandron secured the points before Brian Grahams late consolation for Falkirk.

And boss Robbo challenged his players to follow up the result by securing a trip to Hampden in Friday's League Cup quarterfinal clash with Kilmarnock.

He said: “We've started the season really brightly. That would be the icing on the cake after the first block of games to be sitting in the top six after today and hopefully a semifinal. But it's a tough task ahead.

“We moved the ball well, delivered balls into the box - and should have really scored more.”
