MacAskill admits it can't afford to fight election and may not be viable
ALBA Party leader Kenny MacAskill has admitted a financial “crisis” is likely to prevent the party contesting the Holyrood election.
The Sunday Mail revealed last week the organisation was struggling to survive amid allegations of fraud.
MacAskill has written to members to warn the future of the party - founded by former first minister Alex Salmond in 2021 - is in doubt. He emailed saying "financial irregularities" had been reported to the police and that Alba was in a "perilous financial position".
