Planning permission sought for new NHS clinic in Scunthorpe

PROPOSALS FOR HEALTH FACILITY AT ELIZABETH QUARTER

ANOTHER step has been taken towards a new mental health and children's health NHS clinic in the heart of Scunthorpe.

Planning permission has been sought by the local authority to turn part of the recently built Elizabeth Quarter into clinical space.

The health facility would comprise four clinical rooms, two consultation rooms, 16 consultation pods, one group space and a meeting room. All would be located on the second floor of the enterprise and innovation hub, Elizabeth Quarter, built on the town's former market site at the end of the High Street.

The planning application follows on from North Lincolnshire Council's announcement this Spring that Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) would be a key tenant in the building, and move in this year. RDaSH, who provide mental health and children's services to local people, will lease the space for 15 years.
