To blame Thelin is a 'bit crazy'

MATS KNOESTER insists it is "crazy" to blame Jimmy Thelin for Aberdeen hitting "rock-bottom".
That was the alarming phrase the manager used after the Dons lost 2-0 at Dundee United on Tuesday night. Their latest setback left the Pittodrie side rooted to the foot of the table with just one point and no goals from 574 minutes of Premiership football.
Increasing numbers of the Red Army have turned on Thelin, with chants of "You're getting sacked in the morning" heard from the away end at Tannadice. Aberdeen's disastrous start to the season has already seen them knocked out of the Premier Sports Cup and Europa League.
But Dutch centre-half Knoester has rallied to the defence of his gaffer, who he feels has done everything to prepare the team properly for matches.
The 26-year-old is adamant it is the players who are letting down the cause and has challenged his teammates to look at themselves in the mirror and get the Dons out of their current predicament.
Knoester said: "It feels like it is a tough phase because it is. It is a hard time but it is up to us to get out of it as fast as possible. We need to get out of this for everybody.
