Bob retires from VIC after 13 years but his work will ‘echo for years to come’

The Royal Engineer veteran was one of the founders of the organisation in 2012.

It was initially based in the former REAL building in Bacup, until it was gifted its current base, which is now known as the VIC Centre in Haslingden.

This provided the veterans' charity with space to grow and facilities to enable veterans to prosper.

Civic dignitaries, including the Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire Amanda Parker JP and the Mayor of Rossendale Councillor Judith Driver, along with many veterans from all across the area of benefit, called at the centre on Thursday May 15 to wish Bob well.

Although retiring as Operations Manager, he will be returning as a trustee, so he will still be a familiar face.
