Badgers' season ends 'in a thud' with loss against Blackstones

RETFORD United's season ended in disappointing fashion with a shock 3-0 play-off semi-final defeat to Blackstones.

The Badgers started favourites, having finished the league above Blackstones, beaten them twice in the process and had the home advantage, but Blackstones came to Cannon Park and played a blinder.
It was a nervy start for both teams, but the first 15 minutes looked favourable for the Badgers as they earned a couple of corners and a free-kick which was nearly converted by Brandon Kane.
