This week’s historic image takes us back to 1964 and an almost unrecognisable George Street.

Looking west, from the junction with West Street, tenements once dominated the street and provided housing for dozens of Paisley families.
The much-loved Bernacchi's chip shop is also visible at the bottom right corner of the image.
