Robbo's delight at landing promising striker
Stephen Robinson feels new boy Jake Young gives St Mirren something they don’t usually get when signing a forward — a decent goalscoring record.
Young put pen to paper last night after switching from English League One side Stevenage as Robbo bagged his second signing of the January window.
The 24-year-old comes to Scotland with a history of scoring goals after he netted 16 in 26 games two seasons ago for Swindon Town while on loan from Bradford City.
This form sealed a move to Stevenage in the summer of 2024, but he has struggled to make an impact in Hertfordshire.
Buddies boss Robbo, however, feels he has brought in someone who can provide different options and make an immediate impact.
