Police object to bar's plans for music and late hours

POLICE have objected to a new bar's live music plans due to fears about drunk people committing crimes.

C & B Brew Co has applied to open a bar at unit four in The Square in Beeston.

In an application to Broxtowe Borough Council, the business asks for permission to host live music until 11.30pm and serve alcohol until 2am.

But Nottinghamshire Police have raised concerns about a potential increase in the amount of alcohol-related disorder.

Objecting to the proposals, the force said the premises would add to existing problems.
