MAGPIES BOSS OFFERS PRAISE AS SIDE LOOK TO KEEP UP FINE HOME FORM

- By SAM ALLEN

THERE is plenty of reason for optimism at Notts County right now as they look to maintain their place in League Two's top three with back-to-back games at fortress Meadow Lane.

Only second-placed Swindon Town, who have played a game more at home, have picked up more points on their own turf than the Magpies so far this term, who have won five of their seven matches at Meadow Lane.

The visitors this afternoon are a Harrogate Town side battered by injuries, so much so that boss Simon Weaver revealed they only have two outfield players to name on the bench this weekend.

Monday night's win over Cheltenham Town highlighted the very best of what Martin Paterson's team can offer at the moment, particularly in the first half, and the key is to replicate that level throughout a whole game.
