Matt finish in overtime as Flames are doused

MATT Marcinew scored the overtime winner as Nottingham Panthers beat Guildford Flames 2-1 at the Motorpoint Arena to stay top of the Elite League.

Kevin Carr started between the pipes with Luca Sheldon as backup. Panthers continue to be without injured forwards Mitch Fossier and Brendan Harris.

Panthers outshot the Flames 18-5 in the first period with Bryan Lemos hitting the underside of the bar and Ollie Betteridge the base of the right post.
