Families unsure of return home after fatal blast

WORKSOP residents whose homes were hit by a blast which killed a man have been told there is "no timescale" on when they can return.

Emergency services were called to an explosion at a house on John Street in the north Nottinghamshire town at 7.39pm on Saturday, April 12.

Homes were evacuated and a major incident was declared as responders searched through piles of rubble. Despite their best efforts, 53-year-old David Howard died at the scene.
