Flats planned at cliffside site once home to notorious city tenements

FLAT-HUNTERS could soon get the chance to live at the bottom of a Nottingham cliff once home to horrible slums dubbed the worst in Europe.

Plans to create new apartments, offices, shops and a café at the abandoned Narrow Marsh House on Cliff Road have been submitted to the city council.

The old and graffitied warehouse - near Nottingham College's city site and the tram bridge skatepark - would be torn down and replaced with a new three-storey building under the plans.
