Burglar hid in bin after stealing glasses and frames worth £8k

A BURGLAR was found hiding in a bin after breaking into a city-centre opticians and stealing goods worth thousands of pounds.

Repeat offender Ashley Lawrence, 37, broke into Gray and Bull Opticians shortly after 5am on Wednesday, November 5.
CCTV cameras recorded him using his body weight to smash a glass door, before stealing about 50 pairs of sunglasses and glasses frames worth around £8,000.
He was arrested on November 8, after a staff member saw him loitering near the Pelham Street shop.
