Bid to turn unwanted pub into cafe and convenience store

NEW plans have revealed what the future could hold for a closed pub that has failed to attract an operator for four years.

A planning application to convert the boarded-up Pheasant Inn pub on Chesterfield Road in Mansfield has been submitted to Mansfield District Council.

The pub was closed at the start of 2020, according to areport to councillors, and has not attracted any interest from potential operators despite being marketed for the last four years.
