Barnstaple enjoy friendly win at Bideford
North Devon Journal
|July 10, 2025
»BARNSTAPLE Town manager Ben Potter says it’s going to be a ‘tough season’ for the Western League Premier Division team - but an exciting one.
Barnstaple just missed out on promotion back to the Southern League last season when they lost in the playoffs. There have been players coming in and others going out during the summer, but the manager will have been pleased that his side beat Southern League Division One South opponents Bideford 2-1 in a preseason friendly on Friday night.
Luke Mortimore scored both of the goals at Bideford after the home side had taken an early lead.
