Marcos has ordered the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to implement the no price increase policy, especially during the holiday season.
In accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Castro also clarified on Tuesday, Oct. 28, that the directive was not a "price freeze."

More manufacturers and stakeholders are cooperating. It is not a price freeze," Castro said.
