As many as nyas eight players may leave as boss rebuilds

Amorim, who took over from Erik ten Hag in November, requires funds to overhaul the lacklustre team he inherited, potentially leading to a mass departure of players who don't fit his vision.

United are preparing for life without Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen, both of whom are expected to depart as free agents when their contracts expire, along with Tom Heaton and Jonny Evans.

Standard Sport reports that Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, Antony, and Marcus Rashford could also be heading for the exit before the start of next season.

The latter two will be available to leave following their loan stints at Real Betis and Aston Villa respectively, with Villa having the option to purchase Rashford for £40million.

With one year remaining on his £350,000-a-week contract, United are reportedly eager to remove Casemiro from their payroll.
