A father's love is always there for us

FATHER'S Day is not as grounded in religious tradition as Mother's Day - the sentiments, however, are the same.

This Sunday we especially remember those who mean so much to us - fathers, grandfathers and all who have taken a fatherly role in our lives.

I’m sure cards and gifts of all sorts will express that sense of gratitude. A few years ago, I had Father's Day card: “Grumpy but great” What do you think of that?

Throughout the Bible, God is defined as creator and sustainer. The greatest truth, however, is that God is our father. If you want an example of this, then just read the Bible story of the prodigal son.
