Rugby legend overcomes a major foe to achieve his dream

SINCE starting to learn the Welsh language, former rugby player Scott Quinnell has been vocal about his passion for his “native tongue.”

Despite growing up with severe dyslexia, where he could barely read or sign an autograph, Scott has managed to overcome his learning difficulties to learn Welsh.

Quinnell joined Bronwen Lewis on her BBC Radio Wales Mic Drop Monday show, where he discussed learning the language and how people need to embrace Wenglish (a combination of Welsh and English) more.

The rugby legend enjoyed a glittering sporing career, playing for Wales, Llanelli, Scarlets, Richmond and the Lions. He won 52 caps for Wales (seven as captain) and three for the Lions.
