OUR headline pick for last week's Baycurrent Classic, Xander Schauffele, provided yet another winner for ON THE GREEN at odds of 10/1 while Tom McKibbin, our each way selection for the Spanish Open, made the places at 28/1.

The inaugural DP World India Championship is the principal golf action this week at Delhi Golf Club, a course recently redesigned by Gary Player, who created a tough tree-lined track requiring unerring accuracy off the tee.

Among those teeing it up at Delhi Golf Club are European Ryder Cup stars, Rory Mcllroy, Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood and Viktor Hovland, along with captain Luke Donald.

Mellroy has expressed his desire for the game of golf to go more global and he will expand his global schedule by playing in India for the first time in this inaugural event.

Mellroy (right) has had the year of his life with wins at Pebble Beach and Sawgrass, a second Amgen Irish Open at the K-Club, and he completed his career Grand Slam by winning the US Masters at Augusta.

Rory’s year got even better when Europe won the Ryder Cup in thrilling fashion at Bethpage Black. Rory is the 4/1 favourite to win this week, but he won't be able to overpower this course, so better value lies elsewhere.
